Events Calendar
- Stay after today’s Divine Liturgy for brunch sponsored by the parish’s Knights of Columbus James O’Brian Council 13850. You’ll find pancakes, eggs, hash browns, pirohi with sautéed onions and sour cream, kielbasa with sauerkraut, coffee, milk, and dessert. Spend the early part of your Father’s Day afternoon with us.
- The Apostles Fast continues this week and concludes on the evening of Thursday, June 28. The Typikon prescribes “strict abstinence on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, with a mitigated abstinence (Wine and Oil) on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The Ruthenian Metropolia has identified this period as a penitential season (Canon 880 § 2). This fast may be observed voluntarily.”
- The Patristics Theology adult education class resumes this Tuesday, June 19th at 7 p.m.
- The next Ancient Healing Service is Wednesday, June 27th. We had a powerful healing service on June 13th. Many visitors joined us. Put this important service on your calendar.
- Friday, June 29th is a holy day of obligation for the feast of Saints Peter & Paul.
- ByzanTEEN Mission Trip – The Eparchy of Parma is partnering with YouthWorks to sponsor a mission trip to Logan County, West Virginia for those ages 13-18. Congratulations
Eight years ago this upcoming Tuesday, Sidney Sidor was ordained to the priesthood by our current Bishop John Kudrick of the Eparchy of Parma. God grant our pastor, Rev. Fr. Sidney Sidor, many blessed years!
To all fathers we express our gratitude for the positive influence they’ve had on our lives. We pray for all those living dads who continue to instill in us Christian values. To those deceased fathers we pray for the repose of their souls and ask God grant them mercy and place them in the place of comfort. Eternal memory!
