Father's Day & Fr Sid's Ordination Celebration

You are here: Home / Knights of Columbus / Father's Day & Fr Sid's Ordination Celebration

Published by Saint Athanasius the Great Byzantine Catholic Church

SATURDAY, June 16, 2012
Liturgy will be at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday at St. Athanasius Church. Come help celebrate Father Sidney Sidor’s ordination anniversary following the liturgy. We’re going to a restaurant after liturgy. Bishop John Kudrick ordained Fr. Sid on 6/19/2004 in Parma, Ohio. God grant your servant, Reverend Father Sidney Sidor on the 8th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood, peace, health and happiness for many blessed years. Mnohaja l’ita, blahaja l’ita, mnohaja, blahaja l’ita.

SUNDAY, June 17, 2012
The Knights of Columbus James J O’Brian Council 13850 is having a celebration brunch on Sunday for both Fr. Sid and all fathers on Father’s Day. So come and help support the parish’s Knights of Columbus and celebrate a portion of your Father’s Day at St. Athanasius. Please invite your family & friends to the liturgy and brunch too. All are invited. Fathers and their families will enjoy the menu of pirohi (potato-cheese, sweet cheese, lekvar) with sauteed onions and sour cream, kielbasi with sauerkraut, pancakes, eggs, hash browns, coffee, milk, OJ and dessert.
Liturgy starts at 10 am. Brunch is from 11:45 am until 1:00 pm. We ask for a free will donation (suggestion is $6 for adults and $3 for children) to help the council cover the expense and provide funds for us to help the parish in its various ministries. There will be a 50-50 raffle. Also you can buy our famous nut rolls (see all the other flavors on the baked goods page) and pumpkin logs. We now sell them at the church, on the internet, at 3 Farmer’s Markets: Binford, Carmel, and Stadium Village.
