Events Calendar

  • There are 2 holy days this week. The simple holy day of The Three Holy Hierarchs will be celebrated with a liturgy on Monday morning at 10:30 AM. The solemn holy day of The Encounter of Our Lord with Simeon and Anna will celebrated with a vigil Divine Liturgy on Wednesday evening at 6 PM and a Divine Liturgy on the feast, Thursday February 2nd at 8 AM.
  • The Patristics Theology class resumes this Tuesday, January 31.
  • The next Ancient Healing Service will be on Wednesday, February 14th at 7 PM.
  • Next Sunday, Super Bowl Sunday, there will be a Pitch-in Brunch following Divine Liturgy. Bring your favorite dish.  Even if you can’t bring anything please stay and enjoy a good meal with us. Everyone is invited to worship God according to the Eastern Rite of the Catholic Church, ask Fr. Sidor and parishioners to lay hands on them for spiritual & physical healing and then break bread with us. We’ll have ethnic and American food to fuel you for your Super Bowl Sunday.

All Souls
The first All Souls Saturday for this season will be February 11th.  As a part of All Souls Saturday liturgies each family’s deceased loved ones are named during the concluding Panachida or Memorial Service for the Faithful Departed. If you have new departed loved ones that you would like included please submit them to the rectory office. (You don’t have to submit a new form if nothing has changed since last year.) Since we are remembering the deceased individuals of your family by name Fr. highly recommends that everyone make a special effort to attend these liturgies so that you can pray with the entire parish for your departed loved ones. Dates of 2012 All Souls Saturdays: Feb 11, Mar 3, Mar 10, Mar 17 and May 26.

Fund Raising
We’ve had great attendance at the last couple baking days. Thank you volunteers. We have a good supply of nut, poppy seed, and various fruit rolls plus kolachy, kifli, pumpkin rolls, pizzelles and biscotti. So if you have any guests coming to town or friends you’re entertaining for the Super Bowl festivities, buy some St. Athanasius bake goods. Also you can buy gift cards for many stores and good spiritual books right here at your parish. Thank you for helping.
