Charity Needs
Fr. Sidor is requesting to purchase a new set of white vestments and a chalice & paten. If you would like to donate them or a portion of the money to help purchase them see Father.
As the weather has turned colder the need of our brothers & sisters in Christ who are less fortunate is increasing. More people are coming to the church in search of food, gasoline cards or bus tickets (to get to work), etc. Thank you for those who’ve donated items or money to buy non-perishable foods and personal hygiene items to the food pantry. Please read Matthew 25:35 and pray about this. In addition to canned meat products (ravioli, chili, etc.), canned vegetables, pasta, pasta sauce, soup, etc. people also are in need of bath, dish & laundry soap, paper towels, toilet paper, gloves, hats, scarves, socks, gasoline cards. Consider buying scrip cards at St. Athanasius parish. You’ll be helping us too.
Fund Raising
Thank you to the volunteers who help at our various fund raising activities. The Binford market continues through the end of October and Carmel & Stadium Village markets have reached the end of their season. So if you want to experience the remaining farmer’s market talk to John.
Sermon Homework
Fr. Sidor has started a series of sermons on Lucifer and demons. He suggests you read Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28. Next week’s sermon will be “Who is the Devil?”
