Announcements
Congratulations!
Sonia Stanton is receiving the Mystery of Chrismation today. Sonia & Tom’s son, Cody Ray Romero-Stanton, will be receiving the 3 Mysteries of Initiation next Sunday, May 22. God grant you servants many blessed years.
Appeals
Thank you for those who donated last week to the Catholic Home Missions! There will be a 2nd collection today and all Sundays throughout the month of May. The appeal primarily supports those churches unable to offer their people the basic pastoral ministries of word, worship and service without outside help. More information can be found on their website (usccb.org/hm)
The 2010/2011 Stewardship Appeal ends in June. Thank you to those who have supported the effort. We have collected $1047 with $353 to go. We’re 2/3 of the way to the $1,400 goal assigned by Bishop John.
Blaine Ave Clean-Up #2
The dumpster is in place. The Knights (altar servers) from St. Alphonsus parish in Zionsville will be here this Saturday, May 21, 2011. Come and help clean up the grounds around the parish’s buildings. We have juniper bushes to plant in front of the rectory too.
Thanks to those who attended the landscaping effort this past Saturday, May 14. There were five trees planted along the street. Thanks to the City of Indianapolis & George S.’s help to get the trees. The grass was cut & trimmed by our neighbors, Hilda & Dawn. We got a few things cleaned and started on some baking.
Come on by
If you can help at Thursday’s bake day please let John know. All 3 farmers markets start this week. We can use your help at them as well. Contact the rectory.
