Events Calendar
- Lawrence Township is having a 4th of July celebration and carnival. The fireworks show is being performed by Mike Piland & crew. Where: Ft. Benjamin Harrison. When: Monday, July 4 at 10 PM
- Patristic Theology class is Tuesday at 6 PM.
- Knights of Columbus meeting is scheduled for Sunday, July 10 following Divine Liturgy.
- On July 20th we celebrate the simple feast day for the Great Prophet Elijah. We will be blessing vehicles. Start spreading the word so that all commuters, housewives, etc. bring their automobiles; bikers bring their motorcycles; children bring their bicycles, skates, etc. to church to have them blessed. Yes, if you know someone with a hot air balloon have it brought to the parking lot too on that day.
2nd Collection
Bishop John has requested that all parishes take a special collection for Peter’s Pence. The purpose of Peter’s Pence Collection is to provide the Holy Father with the financial means to respond with emergency assistance to those who are suffering as a result of war, oppression, natural disaster, and disease. Fund Raising
The book shelves and their contents have been moved into St. Mary’s Hall. Thanks to Scott A. It will make it easy for you to see what we have in stock and what is available for immediate purchase. Give them as gifts (graduation, birthday, anniversary, etc.) to your loved ones and that includes yourself. Get spiritual – buy a book, read it and share what you’ve learned with others.
