Announcements
Healing Service
The 2nd healing service this month will be offered this Wednesday, August 25. Plan to come pray and take advantage of this ancient service, which is part of our rich heritage. Come with faith in God’s word that he has taken your sickness (spiritual or bodily) to the cross. See Isaiah 53:5, Matthew 8:17, and 1 Peter 2:24.
2nd Collection
Bishop John Kudrick has requested that we have a collection for those who’ve been afflicted by the natural disaster in Pakistan. Thank you for your generosity.
Knights of Columbus Brunch
The monthly brunch prepared by the James J O’Brian council 13850 is scheduled for August 29th. Invite your friends and introduce them to the Byzantine Ruthenian Rite of the Eastern Catholic Church starting with the Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom at 10 AM followed by the brunch. Let’s show them our prayerful worship of the Trinity and our hospitality with some of the traditional foods of pirohi and kielbasi with sauerkraut. American foods will be served too.
Food Pantry
If you have non-perishable items at home that have future expiration dates and have been taking up shelf space please bring them to church to help build up our food pantry. That way you’re freeing up valuable space in your cabinets and the parish food pantry is being stocked for the colder weather when the need is highest. In addition to canned meat products (ravioli, chili, etc.), canned vegetables, pasta, pasta sauce, soup, etc. people also are in need of bath, dish & laundry soap, paper towels, toilet paper, gloves, hats, scarves, socks. In the next few weeks we’ll have a list posted in the hall of items were looking for.
