Now that I have piqued your interest let me explain the title – Pancake / Ethnic Brunch. The Knights of Columbus James J O’Brian council 13850 is hosting a meal following the Divine Liturgy. The menu includes both standard American breakfast items and some of our traditional Slavic dishes:
- scrambled eggs
- pancakes – regular and multi-grain
- hash browns
- biscuits & sausage gravy
- potato-cheese pirohi (also spelled pirogi) with sauteed onions
- kielbasi and sauerkraut
- coffee, juice, tea
- dessert
It’s buffet style and we ask for a freewill offering. There will be a 50-50 raffle during the brunch. Although not a requirement, you’re invited to attend the 10 a.m. Divine Liturgy prior to the brunch. Please consider indulging your spirit in our ancient St. Basil Divine Liturgy. You’ll leave refreshed after honoring God and receiving many blessings. If you haven’t seen the interior of the church & can’t attend the liturgy then a tour of the church will be made available upon request.
The brunch is open until 1:30 p.m. Come join us. Everyone’s welcome.
