Bishop Milan Lach has issued a new decree on 3/17/2020. He has suspended “all publicly celebrated Sunday Liturgies and services, including Holy Week services, and Pascha (Easter) services throughout the Eparchy of Parma. Churches will be open for personal prayer only at the dedicated time by your pastor.” He has dispensed “all the faithful of the Eparchy of Parma from the obligation of attending Sunday Divine Liturgies including Holy Week and Pascha (Easter) Sunday. You are not dispensed from prayer on Sunday, the day of prayer and rest.”
When St. Athanasius the Great church is available for personal prayer will be in a future post.
In Bishop Milan Lach’s last comment he states: “I encourage you to pray to God for a swift end to this unprecedented health crisis.”

St. Athanasius the Great Byzantine Catholic parish in Indianapolis IN extend our sincerest wishes for a joyous and a blessed Paschal season, an Easter season which brings nothing but an abundance of all good things from the hand of our merciful and generous God to you and to all your loved ones.
