Events Calendar

  • The enthronement of Bishop William Charles Skurla to be the fifth Metropolitan Archbishop of Pittsburgh is Wednesday, April 18th, 2012. Pray that the Holy Spirit guide our new metropolitan as he starts his new duties for the Byzantine Ruthenian Catholic Church in the USA. If you wish to watch the service live, St. John’s Cathedral has a live UStream at their website. It starts at 2 PM.
  • The annual Catholic Radio 89.1 dinner is Wednesday, April 18 starting 5:30 PM at Riverwalk Banquet Center near Broad Ripple. See for details.
  • The next Ancient Healing Service is Wednesday, April 25 at 7 PM. Put this date on your calendar to reserve that evening to come to church to claim your healing.
  • The Slovenian National Home is having their Spring Fling Dance on Saturday, April 28. Please RSVP to 632-0619 by 4/20/2012.
  • May 2nd is the patron feast day of our parish. This falls on Mid-Pentecost Wednesday. We’re looking for ideas on how and when to celebrate the parish’s 32 years since its founding. Discuss your ideas with Max or the rectory. Interesting fact: the 1st Divine Liturgy for the parish was celebrated on St. Thomas Sunday, April 27, 1980.
  • Keep Saturday, May 19th open. We will be having a special event at the parish. Stay tuned for details.

 Second Collection

There remains 2 problems with the heating system in the rectory: a faulty gas valve and a water leak in the heat exchanger of the boiler. These problems did not manifest themselves until a few weeks after the water supply and recovery systems on the boiler were replaced. We ask that you donate to get the heating system repaired / replaced so that it works consistently. If you know a benefactor that would be willing to help please call the rectory.

Fund Raising

Scrip store merchandise cards, books, baked goods – all available at your parish. Call the rectory or, following any of the services, ask to buy these items that help the parish.
