Thank You

Father Sid thanks everyone for their prayers while his knee recovers from a fall on Wednesday, August 17. A few families have been great care givers while Fr. Sid was at the hospital and now that he’s back at the rectory. Come and visit Father while  God mends his leg. For the next couple weeks he needs help 24/7. Please make time to help our parish’s most important resource – our pastor. See John 15:12-15. Also pray for God’s healing power to shine upon Marge Hays as she recuperates from shoulder surgery.

John the Baptist

We commemorate the Beheading of John the Baptist on Monday, August 29. The New Testament references to the event are found in Matthew 14:1-12, Mark 6:14-29, and Luke 9:7-9. John, the Forerunner, Prophet and Baptist was beheaded by Herod Antipas at the instigation of Herodias.
